Poems by Humberto (Tito) Gutierrez

JUST FOR TONIGHT

JUST FOR TONIGHT

LET ME TAKE IN THIS STARRY NIGHT

JUST FOR TONIGHT LET ME BE A FALLING STAR

FAR AWAY FROM OUR PAST

FAR AWAY FROM OUR CAST

LET ME LOVE YOU BY THE LIGHT OF THE SKY

LET ME LOVE YOU PURELY WITH A BREAK IN TIME

LET ME LOVE YOU TILL THE END OF TIME

LET ME FREEZE THIS MOMENT FOR THE REST OF OUR LIVES.

LET OUR SKELETONS SLEEP FOR ANOTHER NIGHT

LET OUR BODIES FEEL THE STARS

AS OUR MOISTURE ENTWINES

LET US SMILE

AT THE DREAMS WE POSSESS

AND THAT THE ROAD THAT BROUGHT US TOGETHER

WILL REMAIN

AS WE SHARE OUR LOVE AT THE END OF THE ROAD

AND EVEN THEN WE SHALL BE IN LOVE TILL THE END OF TIME
